Our in-house photographer, Matt Bailey, a.k.a. Acrylic Asylum Art, made a recent visit to New York to shoot a couple of runway shows. Being that this is the style issue and NY Fashion Week is later this month, what better way to usher in fall fashions than gazing at some new threads from a couple of the industry’s rising stars?

Bringing their own traditions of Latin American and African influence, the two brands featured here exemplify class, comfort, culture and the contemporary. So, sit back and get lost in the designs of Potro and Gazelle, shot by the incredible Acrylic Asylum Art.

Potro

Potro is a luxury menswear brand, founded by Joseph DeAcetis, that aims to celebrate Latino culture through contemporary fashion. Inspired by Hispanic contributions to art, music and fashion, Potro designs feature high-quality materials and innovative styles, emphasizing comfort, identity and cultural heritage.

The brand’s flagship product, the polo shirt, embodies the balance of tradition and modernity. Potro honors Latino heritage while offering stylish, distinctive menswear for the modern man, resonating with those who appreciate both cultural roots and contemporary fashion.

“I’ve always found that the great contributions of the Hispanic/Latino culture in the USA have brought inspiration to art, music and fashion,” said Joseph DeAcetis Founder of Potro Inc. “These polos are a testament to the significance of Spanish heritage and influence on the United States of America. The diverse experiences of Latin American culture have brought to life these distinct and unique spins on this classic look.”
