Tim Michel is not one to openly brag about what he has done for local communities. Customers of family-owned Collin County Glass indicate Tim is committed to helping them create luxurious spa-like bathrooms with customized, frameless shower enclosures; however, they may not realize he helps local groups in ways not as crystal-clear as the glass he uses in these showers and windows.
Tim provides precision-fit shower enclosures that transform even small bathrooms into bright and open sanctuaries. "Custom-fit glass used in frameless showers is sturdier than traditional showers," he explains. “Many of our customers select low-iron glass to provide maximum clarity with higher visible light transmittance than traditional clear glass."
Protecting customers is nothing new for Tim, who was a volunteer firefighter for five years. So when Frisco Fire Department representatives contracted with Collin County Glass for the installation of the Central Station showers, Tim was able to help Frisco Fire staffers meet their budget with nearly at-cost pricing, a gesture of gratitude for their unwavering dedication and sacrifice.
As longtime residents of Collin County, Tim and his wife, Paula, continue to give to their communities, extending generous discounts to first responders and military personnel, as well as serving in their local church where Tim can be found playing keyboard in two services each Sunday. Collin County Glass also recently sponsored his church's golf tournament benefiting the group's upcoming youth mission trip.
He also donates to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and has contributed to Frisco Education Foundation. "We've lived in Collin County for over 40 years. Our children went through Frisco schools. We reinvest into our community," says Tim.
"Our customers appreciate the equally impressive commitment to their projects," Tim says, adding that his crew takes great pride in their work, addressing customer concerns, providing solutions to customized projects, such as oversized gym mirrors, dresser mirrors and even a glass-enclosed trophy case for a Prosper ISD Middle School.
"We help our customers make customized, yet affordable, aesthetic upgrades in time for holiday guests, help add to curb appeal when selling a home, or even get the most out of insurance claims," Tim explains.
"We're quick and efficient, from first contact to quote to installation, while providing cost-efficient, high-quality work that's as seamless and beautiful as our shower enclosures," Paula assures.
The business covers all areas in Collin County, including McKinney, Prosper, Frisco, Allen, Anna, Celina, Fairview, Melissa, Plano and Princeton. "We do one thing, and we do it well, as experts in shower doors, mirrors and windows for bathroom enhancements without the time and expense of a full remodel," Tim vows.
