What is Schell Brothers’ home technology strategy?
“We developed a standard package called HomeIQ that incorporates many of the most popular technologies, including interior/exterior smart switches, keyless entry systems, video doorbells, remote garage door controls, alarms, computerized HVAC controls and USB combo outlets. All of these technologies are integrated through a central wall-mounted Amazon Alexa smart home hub.”
How do you help prospective homeowners embrace the technologies?
“Our salespeople receive extensive training in all of our home automation systems. They are able to provide buyers with real-world demonstrations of how the technologies work when they visit our model homes.”
What are the advantages of building in home automation at construction time?
“ By including the systems as part of the build, we simplify the decisions that our customers have to make. They can review our standard HomeIQ package and make changes and/or additions to it if they choose, including such things as centralized vacuum systems and integrated home speakers.”
