Dancing is a way to express your individuality and showcase your skills while learning valuable life lessons along the way.
For the past 20 years, Yorba Linda’s Momentum Dance and Performing Arts has fueled students’ passion for creative expression and athleticism through high-quality instruction in a creative space.
“Momentum has always found it important to focus on the ‘whole child.’ We’re not just training dancers; we’re helping to develop the whole human! Your dance education will follow you throughout your life,” says directors Amber Case and Cathy Lozano.
Former Momentum students have gone on to become professional dancers performing for Disney, on world tours, collegiate teams, cruise ships, commercial dance, theater, and more.
Classes are offered for students of all ages across a variety of disciplines, and they invite everyone—even adults—to shake things up.
“Try something new! We are one of the only local studios to offer Adult Dance Classes,” says Amber.
School’s out for summer, and that means tons of opportunities for dancers of all skill levels to partake in plenty of exciting activities at Momentum.
“We have Summer Camps for ages 3-10, including ‘What's New at The Zoo,’ ‘Frozen Fever: Summer in Arendelle,’ ‘May the Force be with Grogu & You,’ and ‘Villains Vacation,’ to name a few,” says Amber.
“These camps feature many dance styles, crafting, and an informal showcase. We also have a full Summer Schedule of dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, acro, contemporary, and more! Our Summer Schedule begins on July 3rd, and our Fall Schedule begins on August 28th.”
In addition to dance classes for all ages, Momentum is also home to performance companies, competitive companies, and more.
Whatever type of dance training you’re interested in, you’ll find just what you’re looking for at Momentum, a business that finds inspiration in those they serve.
“Momentum has always been inspired by the families that come here, kids that have a deep passion for the arts, and those who find it important to educate our youth in the arts,” says Amber. “Our students and their families are our biggest inspiration!”
