For Rachel, home has always been more than four walls.
Long before interior design became a profession, it was part of who she was. As a child, she was constantly rearranging her bedroom, rethinking layouts, and finding ways to make the space feel more welcoming. As she grew older, that instinct never disappeared. Every apartment, every home, every place she lived became an opportunity to create an environment that felt intentional, comfortable, and uniquely her own.
Today, that same curiosity has grown into a business centered on helping others create spaces they genuinely love coming home to.
"I truly believe where you live impacts your overall wellbeing," Rachel says. "My goal is always to help people love where they live."
It's a philosophy that reaches beyond selecting finishes or choosing furniture. Rachel believes thoughtful design has the ability to change how people experience everyday life. A well-designed room can make busy mornings feel calmer, create spaces where families naturally gather, or transform a long-postponed renovation into a home that finally reflects the people living there.
Her path to interior design wasn't entirely expected. Rachel originally pursued hospitality management before realizing it wasn't where she felt most fulfilled. Returning to school to study interior design changed everything. What had always been a personal passion suddenly became the career she'd been searching for.
Growing up in an entrepreneurial family also planted another dream. Business ownership was always part of the conversation, so once she found the profession that felt right, building her own company became the natural next step.
Today, Rachel works with homeowners and businesses throughout Northern Colorado, guiding each project from the earliest conversations through the final installation. She develops floor plans and three-dimensional renderings, sources materials and furnishings, coordinates with contractors, and remains personally involved throughout every phase of the project.
Because her firm is intentionally small, clients always work directly with her. There are no handoffs between departments or layers of communication. Instead, relationships are built through consistent collaboration from beginning to end.
"I want the process to feel collaborative, not just transactional," Rachel says. "Like I'm truly building their vision with them."
That collaborative approach begins with listening.
Whether she's designing a family home, refreshing an existing space, or creating the interior identity of a business, Rachel believes every project should reflect the people who will use it every day. Rather than imposing a signature style, she focuses on understanding her clients' routines, personalities, and goals so the finished space feels authentic to them.
"I want people to feel calm and grounded," she says. "But just as important, I want it to feel like them, because the space should reflect who they are, not just my personal style."
Travel continues to shape much of Rachel's creative perspective. She makes it a priority to travel internationally each year, finding inspiration not only in architecture and design, but in the ways different cultures create spaces that encourage connection and daily living. Those experiences continually draw her toward earthy palettes, natural textures, and interiors that offer a quiet sense of balance.
"When I'm traveling, I always notice the quiet, still moments in the middle of all the chaos," she says. "I try to bring that same feeling into the spaces I design. I want a room to feel like a place to exhale."
Like any renovation, design projects rarely unfold exactly as planned. Construction timelines shift, materials become unavailable, and unexpected challenges arise. Rachel says one of the greatest lessons she's learned is that flexibility is just as important as creativity. Finding solutions, communicating openly, and keeping projects moving forward helps clients feel supported throughout what can often be an overwhelming process.
While every project is different, one moment remains the same.
Rachel says her favorite part comes when clients see their completed space for the first time. Watching them recognize their own personalities reflected in a home or business—and seeing the excitement that follows—is what continues to make the work meaningful.
Her portfolio throughout Northern Colorado continues to grow, including projects for Ark Medical Aesthetics, Hola Wellness, Cocos Windsor, and numerous residential remodels across the region.
As Rachel introduces her business to Northern Colorado, she hopes to become known for more than beautiful interiors. She wants to be remembered as someone who listens carefully, collaborates intentionally, and creates spaces that improve the way people live every day.
After all, the most memorable homes aren't defined by the furniture inside them. They're defined by how they make people feel the moment they walk through the door.
