At 24, Julianna Miller is building a business around one simple belief: Style lives in the details.
As the founder of Julianna Miller Events, Miller has quickly earned a reputation for transforming celebrations into personalized experiences that reflect the people at their center. Whether she's planning a bridal shower, baby shower, anniversary party, or milestone birthday, her goal is always the same—to take a client's vision and bring it to life in a way that feels authentic, thoughtful, and unforgettable.
Event planning was not originally part of Miller’s career plan. A graduate of Seton Hall University with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology, she hopes to help children and adults overcome communication challenges. At the same time, she has grown an event planning business that began with family gatherings and referrals.
"It started as a creative outlet," Miller explains. "I love working with people, and every event is different."
That balance between structure and creativity has become one of her greatest strengths. While her work in speech-language pathology requires adaptability and problem-solving, event planning allows her to channel those same skills into a completely different environment.

Some clients arrive with a fully developed vision, while others need help discovering what they want. Either way, she begins by listening.
"I always want clients to tell me their story first," she says. "Why are we having this event? Who are we celebrating? That's where the inspiration comes from."
From there, Miller guides clients through every decision, from colors and décor to vendor partnerships and guest experiences. Her signature approach is highly collaborative, allowing clients to be as involved—or as hands-off—as they'd like.
One trend she's especially loving right now is the rise of interactive experiences. Perfume bars, permanent jewelry stations, embroidery activations, and personalized favors have become popular additions that give guests something memorable to take home.
Among her favorite events was an intimate Amalfi Coast-inspired bridal shower featuring lemon-themed décor, blue hydrangeas, handcrafted favors, specialty cocktails, and a pizza truck. Months of planning resulted in a celebration that perfectly reflected the bride's personality—and exceeded her expectations.
"When someone walks in and says it's exactly what they imagined, that's the best feeling," Miller says.
Though some may be surprised by her age, Miller views it as an advantage. Combined with her meticulous attention to detail and natural creativity, it's a formula that's helping her stand out.
