Mother’s Day is one of the most special occasions of the year. It is a day on which we honor the special ladies in our life who brought each of us into the world.
While there are many different ways to celebrate moms on their day, one of the best ways is to treat them to a special dinner at their favorite restaurant. No cooking, no cleanup, no worries – just great food, thirst quenching libations and a festive atmosphere.
This year, two of Hendersonville’s finest eateries are going all out to make Mother’s Day 2022 a day to remember. Antica Italia and Sea Salt are both gearing up with special menus that are guaranteed to put a smile on every mother’s face.
Antica Italia
Founded by owner Sean Randall, Antica Italia is one of the newest restaurants gracing Hendersonville’s upscale dining scene. Clad in a welcoming décor of Mediterranean terracotta and turquoise, Antica Italia features classic Italian cuisine with a modern twist.
“Antica Italia was built around family, love of food and an amazing atmosphere to bring it all together,” says Sean. “We specialize in unique signature entrees such as handmade Casconcelli, pan-seared sea bass and 45-day aged rib eye steaks. We also offer a variety of wines, beers and custom cocktails designed to complement our guests’ dining experience.”
Families with children are always welcome at Antica Italia, and special meal requests can be accommodated for young diners who don’t see what they like on the menu.
This Mother’s Day, Antica Italia will be featuring a special brunch-themed menu offering a delicious array of specialty items. Sean and his team will be serving a variety of omelets and poached egg entrees that are sure to delight. To keep the atmosphere light and relaxed, brunch cocktails will be available, including Bellinis, Bloody Marys and Mimosas.

Sea Salt
Sea Salt offers a uniquely French twist on seafood dishes pulling inspiration from local ingredients found in middle Tennessee and neighboring areas in a unique farm to table concept. Founded by co-owner and operator Keith Zust, Sea Salt offers a winning combination of exquisite food, impeccable service and signature libations.
“At Sea Salt, we go out of our way to make every dining event a special occasion,” says Keith. “We offer a lively piano bar, a fresh oyster bar and private dining accommodations. Guests dine in our upscale modern décor that includes soft white curtains filtering sunlight throughout the dining room, walls adorned in beautiful shades of blue and an expansive bar featuring hand-pounded copper bars and Himalayan salt rocks.”
Sea Salt’s dinner menu offers a variety of delectable fare, including crab cakes, bacon wrapped shrimp and daily fresh fish. The restaurant also has a special menu for younger diners that features a selection of kid favorites, including cheeseburgers, chicken fingers and pasta.
This year, Sea Salt will be open on Mother’s Day from noon until 9 p.m. and it will offer the normal dinner menu as well as several distinct items chosen for the special occasion. Mother’s Day treats will include eggs Benedict, smoked Verlosso salmon toast and shrimp & grits. To keep the mood light, Sea Salt will also be serving its usual array of specialty cocktails, including Mimosas and Bloody Marys.
For Mother’s Day, reservations are highly recommended, and they may be made online or by calling the restaurant. For walk-in diners, a limited number of high-top tables will be available on a first come, first served basis.
