The Hi-Pointe Theatre is one of the most nostalgic theaters in St. Louis, complete with the ambiance of yesteryear, manifested throughout every inch of the place.  You will literally feel like you’ve stepped back in time ~ but with an updated contemporary flair too ~ that you won’t find anywhere else.  And if the movie you can’t wait to see isn’t on the big screen in the main theatre, then please check out what’s playing on their second screen at the Hi-Pointe Back Lot,  which garners a more intimate movie going experience with the smaller theatre fell, which might play out better for your date night anyway!

And as things start to pick up on the movie scene in March, here are a couple of suggestions for films that might just “the perfect flicks” to make your date night complete…

THE WAY BACK –

Ben Affleck stars as former HS Basketball great, Jack Cunningham, who finds himself presently in a downward spiral, struggling with alcoholism.  But when Jack is asked to coach his alma matre’s basketball team, and helping these young men find their own worthiness in life, may just be what Jack needs to try and turn his own life around.

THE WAY BACK also stars Janina Gavankar, Michaela Watkins, Hayes McArthur, and  T.K. Carter and hits in theaters Friday March 6th

Or if you’re looking to catch a movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat…might I suggest that you catch the sequel to 2018’s A Quiet Place

A QUIET PLACE II –

Emily Blunt reprises her role as Evelyn Abbott, and she is now left with no alternative but to venture outside, into the unknown, with what’s left of her family in tow.  And it doesn’t take long for the each of them to realize, there are a lot of things that they should fear, beyond their once tranquil existence at home…and the creatures who are hunting them, might just be the least of their worries…

A QUIET PLACE II also stars Cillian Murphy, Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds and Wayne Duvall, and will be releasing in theaters on Friday March 20th.
