Hosting a Housewarming Party

Did you just buy a new home?  Are you ready to show it off to your friends and family?  Why not throw a house-warming party!!!  A house-warming is a party traditionally held soon after moving into a new residence. It is an occasion for the hosts to present their new home to their friends, post-moving, and for friends to give gifts to furnish the new home.  House-warming parties are generally informal.

Inviting your new neighbors to your housewarming party is an excellent way to get off on the right foot with them. You don't have to invite the entire block, of course, but do consider sending an invite to the people who live on either side of you and across from you—just slip an invitation in their mailbox.
