Long Cove Luxury Lake Homes started as little more than a big idea. To create a luxury lakefront community close to Dallas with the comforts of home, but without the maintenance headaches. A place to unplug and enjoy, inspired by Horseshoe Bay near Austin and the Florida coastal communities of Seaside and Watercolor.

Long Cove brings those experiences closer to home. It is the premier, second-home lake destination for many Park Cities families. Why do weekends feel longer here? Maybe because it only takes an hour and change to drive from Dallas on a Friday afternoon. Or because you never really have to fool with a boat or pool if you don’t want to. And considering all the entertainment options, weekends seem longer because the fun is already baked in with pickleball, golf, and tennis, not to mention pools, a waterslide, miles of hiking trails, an adventure park, fishing ponds, beach volleyball, and lakeside bonfire pits.

And with six miles of shoreline at the deep end of Cedar Creek Reservoir, people appreciate what they find at Long Cove: an easy, year-round getaway where everyone waves.

The Long Cove team continues to build and design its unique family homes, community spaces, amenities, and conveniences of resort-style living. In 2017, it successfully completed several major development projects. Henderson Bay, a stunning 40-acre park and cove opened, and a trio of new neighborhoods took shape: Henderson Bay, North Shore, and West Point. A third golf venue was added—Thistle Never Dhu, a two-acre thrill ride of a putting green designed by David Zinkand of Oregon’s Bandon Dunes fame. And Long Cove continues to expand and raise the bar on comforts. Phase I of Harbor Front Townhomes is complete and Phase II is underway; a collection of cottages overlooking the new Bayside infinity pool as well as all of the custom waterfront home sites on Henderson Bay have been sold; and development has begun on the new South Shore neighborhood.

“Longcovians” never wonder what they’re going to do for the holidays—they’re always covered with events including concerts, dive-in movies, chef dinners, fishing, barefoot golf, sporting clay clinics, fireworks, and family game nights—always something new. And who doesn’t love a good party?
