The Inn at Meadowbrook

A unique staycation awaits you at The Inn at Meadowbrook nestled next to 80 acres of green space in Meadowbrook Park.

Since May of 2020, pleasure seekers from near and far have found respite and relaxation at The Inn at Meadowbrook, located at 4901 Meadowbrook Parkway in Prairie Village. This three-story, 54-room property is built on the site of the former Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club.

Locally owned and operated, the stunning style and aesthetics of the Inn truly set it apart.

“The feel of the Inn is that of an English cottage with wood accents, curated draperies and bold fabric colors,” notes Rod Kopischke, Director of Sales and Marketing. “The use of space and minor touches are intentional. The rooms are large, starting at 526 square feet. Every space has a point of relaxation, including the Inn’s King Deluxe Lakeview and Parkview rooms which feature options of Balconies and banquette perch along windows.”

This new Inn is rated as a Four Diamond Hotel. This status is a shining star, as, according to the American Automobile Association’s latest rankings, only 89 hotels in North America have earned this status in 2022. AAA describes this ranking as having “upscale style and amenities with the right touch of service. These hotels offer world-class luxury, amenities and indulgence for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

Robert Leyva, General Manager, explains, “It’s pretty simple: we’re an intimate, thoughtful boutique hotel that takes you away from the city and gives you a one-of-a-kind experience.”

This means staycationers are truly pampered! Family Suites offer options for larger families or close friends, offering custom bunk beds, two spacious full-size bathrooms with plenty of living space. The Grand Suite includes and aromatherapy shower head and free-standing tup, ideal for that relaxing soak.

In addition, suites are made with connectivity in minding allowing guests to enjoy their own space, yet still mingle.

And when you’re ready for a bite to eat, The Market at Meadowbrook serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a variety of sandwiches, salads and wraps along with a selection of beer, wine and hard cider. House-made pastries are available all day, as well as several grab-and-go selections including salads and sandwiches, and ready-to-reheat meals. Sundries include coffee, candy, a variety of jams, spreads and honey, as well as books on cooking, dining and drinking.

Within the lovely courtyard at the Inn sits Verbena, owned and operated by Chef Patrick and Joanne Quillec and their children. This culinary family also operates the award-winning restaurant, Café Provence and a store and café called French Market in the Prairie Village Shopping Center.

Another delight on the grounds is Miss Ruby’s Food Truck, which opened last fall. They serve up a wide variety of sandwiches, burgers and tacos to-go. Guests can enjoy the al fresco setting in the park.

As this locale was once a 136-acre Country Club and golf course, Meadowbrook Park is now a haven in the heart of Prairie Village. You’ll find modern luxury, featuring single family homes and twin villa homes. A luxury apartment complex mixes in with a backdrop of trees. Lakes and walking trails are other desirable amenities.

An additional kids’ activity playground is on the horizon this Fall, nestled into the east corner of the park.
