Do More of What You Love

Joint Motion Physical Therapy Helps Our Community Move Stronger — and Happier

Active living isn’t just a lifestyle — it’s a way of connecting with family, managing through daily routines, and enjoying every life. But when pain, injury, or limited mobility interrupts your rhythm, even simple activities can start to feel like uphill battles.

That’s where Joint Motion Physical Therapy on Park Avenue in Scotch Plains comes in. A locally owned and operated physical therapy clinic with a clear purpose: helping people do more of what they love.  The first think you will notice upon entering Joint Motion - is the utter vastness of the place. It is huge!  It is designed to offer patients the room to move as well as the privacy they may need during therapy. There is no shortage of equipment to cater to an equally vast number of therapies required by a loyal base of patients.

A Vision Born from Experience

Owner and Director Dr. Triston S. Glynos, PT, DPT, OCS started Joint Motion with a strong belief that physical therapy should be personal, effective, and empowering. After more than a decade of practice, Dr. Glynos became frustrated with the impersonal care he saw in many medical settings — treatment plans that felt generic and progress that felt slow. He wanted something different: a therapy environment rooted in trust, communication, and real results.

Because of this vision, Joint Motion is built around a simple but powerful philosophy: you deserve attention from a therapist who knows you and your goals — not a different face at every visit.

At the heart of Joint Motion is a team of highly trained, passionate clinicians who specialize in personalized care — not quick fixes.

Dr. Triston S. Glynos, PT, DPT, OCS
As the owner and director, Dr. Glynos brings more than 20 years of clinical experience to the practice. He’s a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist and holds advanced certifications in evidence-based care techniques. His leadership sets the standard for thoughtful, purposeful therapy that gets real results.

Dr. Marc Helders, PT, DPT, Cert. MDT, TPS, Cert DN, MBA, CCIP Level I
As Physical Therapy Manager, Dr. Helders blends two decades of experience with advanced credentials in the McKenzie Method, pain science, dry needling, and movement analysis. His versatile skill set supports patients of all ages — from competitive athletes to adults navigating chronic pain — with expert care and clear guidance.

Dr. Radha Patel, PT, DPT, CLT
A dedicated therapist focused on personalized therapeutic exercise and manual therapy, Dr. Patel brings a compassionate approach to patient care. She also specializes in lymphedema treatment, ensuring all-around support for her patients’ recovery journeys.

Supporting these clinicians is an experienced administrative and care coordination team — from patient services to scheduling — that helps make every visit seamless and welcoming.

A Philosophy That Goes Beyond Pain Relief

What sets Joint Motion apart is not only technical expertise, but a deep belief in whole-person healing. Here’s how that philosophy plays out in practice:

  • Personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals — whether that’s returning to sports, gardening without discomfort, or walking pain-free.
  • One-on-one care with a consistent therapist throughout the rehabilitation journey.
  • Education and empowerment, so patients understand how their bodies move and how to protect them in the long run.
  • Evidence-based techniques and certifications that few other local clinics offer. This includes TMJ, Vertigo, Dry Needling, Blood Flow Restrictor Therapy, Cupping, Lymphedema and more,

All of this contributes to one core mission: to help patients regain strength and confidence so they can do more of what they love.

Since opening in 2007, Joint Motion has served residents throughout Union County offering early morning, evening, and flexible scheduling to fit busy lives.

Through programs like The Raider of The Week, support for local artists, and ongoing community involvement, Joint Motion continues to extend its impact beyond the clinic walls. Recently, local artist Yussinda shared her talent with a new mural painting prominently (and permanently) on display at the rear entrance. Joint Motion staff can regularly be seen dedicating their personal time to our community events and fundraisers.

Patients often describe the experience not just as physical therapy, but as a partnership — one that combines expert clinical care with genuine encouragement and support.  Local resident Larry Schwab is a return customer!  "I've been here through three different surgeries," he says. "There is nobody else I would trust with my recovery...they are the best".
