Hello Everyone, I am Kat the owner & photographer for Kat Kattler Photography. My business is located in Downtown Westfield, MA. I specialize in high school senior portraits. I am professionally trained, and I graduated from Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2006. For the nine years following, I worked with other photographers, gaining experience and perfecting the trade. In 2015, I was excited to open the doors to Kat Kattler Photography.
My interest in photography started when I was a young child. At any given time, you could find me photographing my toys in my bedroom with just a simple point and shoot film camera. As a student in school, it was difficult for me because I was a visual learner. Words didn’t come easy, but photos did. It wasn’t until I attended Hallmark that I knew that this was my passion and that this is what I was meant to do. I am an introvert, by nature. But, as soon as I have a camera in hand, or even just talk about photography, I am a whole different person with confidence.
I absolutely love everything about photography, but senior portraits have a special place in my heart. I strive to make it a fun experience, while creating images that represent who they are at that moment. Senior portraits are important because it is the first time when the experience is all about them. It has taken them 12 years of conforming to the standard school photo, to finally break free and express to the world who they are.
