Empowering Patients to "Walk Boldly Again"

With a recently opened local orthopedic practice Dr. Ayo Buraimoh is setting a new standard for spine care, one that promises to be a center for those seeking relief and a return to their normal active lifestyles.

His unique personal heritage and academic excellence fueled his journey into medicine. A Boston native, he pursued his undergraduate education at Harvard College, followed by  studies at Boston University School of Medicine, and a fellowship at the University of Maryland.

His personal story is compelling. A child of Nigerian immigrants who pursued the American Dream, he grew up in a family dedicated to healthcare, which shaped his desire to help others. His personal touch and unique approach to patient care sets him apart in the field of medicine. He describes his approach as “balancing empathy and tactical thinking, which balances understanding patient needs with effective problem-solving strategies.”

Dr. Buraimoh's decision to open his orthopedic practice in nearby Farmington reflects his affinity and deep connections in the region. A member of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce and various business groups has fostered what he anticipates will be lifelong connections between the community and his new medical practice.

"It’s about building trust and offering a service where people feel comfortable and supported," he says.

At the core of his practice are innovative treatments that address both the symptoms and the sources of spinal discomfort. He offers a range of non-operative treatments and orthopedic evaluations to provide comprehensive care to avoid surgery. For cases where surgery is the best option, Dr. Buraimoh specializes in minimally invasive techniques that promise better outcomes and quicker recoveries.

He understands the importance of hope in healthcare. His "Walk Boldly Again" tagline encapsulates his commitment to helping patients regain mobility and independence.

This vision extends beyond the operating room; it inspires confidence in patients, allowing them to envision a future free from pain. He encourages his patients to be active participants in their recovery, sharing their success stories of returning to activities like hiking and fishing, which he proudly displays as testaments to their resilience and his skill.

His message to those suffering from spinal issues is clear: managing pain is not enough; overcoming it is essential to leading a joyful, active life.

“It's not just about treatment but about embarking on a journey to recovery with a doctor who believes in your strength and potential to thrive. I can help people regain their lives.”
