Growing up, Dr. David Huff was an active and spirited boy. “The Lord blessed me with extra energy,” he says with a laugh. He was diagnosed with ADHD and prescribed Ritalin, and recalls his transformation from a naturally energetic boy to a dulled zombie. He saw the adults in his life struggling, too—managing life through anxiety medications. This observation sparked early questions. Why did so many people seem to be surviving rather than living? Could there be a better way?
Those questions followed him to UNC Greensboro, where he studied kinesiology and sports science. While working out during college, Dr. Huff injured his back and visited his mother’s chiropractor. The experience was transformative. “He fixed my back—but more than that, I learned how the spine and nerve system actually work.” Looking back, Dr. Huff sees that as the catalyst for his future career.
As he relocated and built his career, Dr. Huff trained and practiced in a variety of chiropractic settings: high-volume practices, adjustment-only clinics, and a national franchise model. The experience greatly broadened his skillset. Dr. Huff was able to see various models of chiropractic care, what worked and what didn’t. He also developed expertise with treatments such as spinal decompression, PEMF therapy, photobiomodulation, and cutting-edge devices and medical equipment that can help people get answers about their health.
After returning to his hometown, Dr. Huff and his wife Amanda officially opened Good Health Greensboro in 2018. In 2020, the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce named Dr. Huff Small Business Person of the Year, and in 2025 he was voted Triad’s Best Chiropractor. What started as a modest practice has since grown three times—the latest being an 800-square-foot expansion. The practice offers a variety of therapies such as chiropractic care, acupuncture, cupping, spinal decompression (which can help address sciatica and disc issues), and red-light body-contouring. Last year, the practice welcomed acupuncturist Jason Trakas, whose advanced allergy and hormone therapy techniques have produced remarkable results.
Dr. Huff and his welcoming staff make beginning your wellness journey at Good Health Greensboro feel easy and approachable. Every new patient starts with a consultation to discuss health concerns, tour the office, meet the team, and establish goals together. If needed, X-rays are performed in-house to get a clearer picture of what’s going on, and Dr. Huff provides a personalized game plan with options tailored to each goal. The team also verifies benefits and eligibility upfront so you understand exactly what your insurance will or won’t cover. “I treat [patients] as close to my grandma as I can,” says Dr. Huff, “we do things the right way.”
Overall, Dr. Huff’s approach is to help patients avoid surgery, reduce medications, and see improvements they once thought impossible. “I want folks to know there are natural ways to help their issues,” he says, which can also be safer and more cost-effective. As Good Health Greensboro continues to grow, Dr. Huff remains grounded in the same mission that led him to chiropractic care decades ago: helping people live better, healthier, fuller lives.
