Tiki! But Not!

Drink Recipe from Marmalade Lounge at Clementine's Salon in Arvada

I love sharing exciting and interesting cocktails with our guests at Marmalade Lounge. This is the first bar in which I've built the cocktail program from the bottom up. One of the proudest moments in my life was seeing this vision come to fruition. I love watching Marmalade pick up speed and seeing people become obsessed with our drinks. I'm excited to spread all the love and delicious cocktails here in Olde Town Arvada. 

My inspiration for this cocktail is spring in New Orleans. I call it a Tiki! But Not! It's not a full-on sweet sugar bomb of a tiki cocktail--which are great when I'm in the mood. It's more of a refreshing, bitter tiki cocktail. It also has bourbon instead of rum which is  a great twist.  

Ingredients: 

  • 2 ounces Four Roses Bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce Angostura Amaro 
  • 1 ounce Passion Fruit Ginger Syrup
  • 1/2 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice 

Instructions:

Combine all the ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake. Pour all contents into a glass to serve. I recommend a large cocktail glass. Top with ice, and garnish with fresh mint and pretty flowers.
