At RAK Brewing Co., there’s always something new to pour. From hop-forward beers and colorful cocktails to collaborations with fellow Frederick makers, the brewery has built a reputation for creativity without taking itself too seriously. We sat down with the RAK team to get a taste of what’s going into the glass.
Kindness Kills
Riverbend Malt | Helio Gazer Thiolized Yeast | Citra & Nectaron Hops
Kindness Kills is a vibrant, hop-forward beer built on a foundation of Riverbend Malt and brewed with Helio Gazer, a thiolized yeast from Omega Yeast. The specialty yeast helps unlock and amplify naturally occurring tropical aromatics, allowing the hops to really shine. Citra and Nectaron hops bring layers of bright citrus and lush tropical fruit, creating an expressive, aromatic beer with plenty of character. It’s a great example of the creativity and experimentation behind RAK’s approach to brewing.
Violet Butterfly
Lemonade | Violet Syrup | Butterfly Pea Flower
As striking as it is refreshing, Violet Butterfly blends bright lemonade with delicate violet syrup and butterfly pea flower for a colorful, floral-forward drink. Inspired by a beverage served at EPCOT, RAK put its own spin on the combination, balancing the tartness of lemonade with subtle floral sweetness. The butterfly pea flower gives the drink its signature vivid hue, making Violet Butterfly one of those cocktails that catches your eye before you ever take the first sip.
RAK Yard Punch
Dangrous Summer Rum | Peach Schnapps | Triple Sec | Cranberry Juice | Orange Juice
RAK Yard Punch is a bright, refreshing cocktail made for kicking back and enjoying time in the Yard. Featuring Dangrous Summer Rum from True Standard Distilling, it combines rum with peach schnapps, triple sec, cranberry juice and orange juice for a fruity, citrus-forward sip with a balance of sweetness and tartness.
The cocktail also gives us the opportunity to highlight another local maker and the collaborative spirit within Frederick’s craft beverage community. We love being able to work with businesses like True Standard and create something that brings both brands together in a way that feels authentically Frederick.
WHAT GOES INTO THE GLASS MATTERS
At RAK, we care about what goes into the glass. Whether we’re brewing a beer, building a cocktail or collaborating with another local maker, quality ingredients and thoughtful choices matter to us.
At the same time, we don’t think good drinks need to take themselves too seriously. We like experimenting, playing with unexpected flavors and creating things that are just as fun to drink as they are thoughtfully made.

October 24 – RAKtoberfest
RAK puts its own spin on Oktoberfest with RAKtoberfest, a fall celebration centered around great beer, good food and the kind of community atmosphere we love creating here at the brewery.
October 29 – Which Way 5K with Charm City Run
RAK is excited to partner with Charm City Run for its annual Halloween-themed Which Way 5K, bringing runners and the community together at RAK.
November 4 – Jan 3 – Holiday Pop-Up Bar
RAK Brewing Co. is teaming up with True Standard Distilling to bring a little extra holiday magic to the season, transforming into a nostalgic holiday pop-up bar.
December 5 – Naughty & Dice
RAK Brewing Co. and TGP Homes come together for Naughty & Dice, a holiday-season event bringing a little fun and festive mischief to RAK.
December 19 – RAK’s 3rd Birthday
We’re celebrating three years of RAK! A birthday celebration marking three years of great beer, creativity, community and all the people who have helped make RAK what it is today.
