PB&J Smoothie

The key to a smoothie that is healthy, filling and equally delicious is to be sure to include adequate protein, healthy fat and fiber. Unfortunately, most commercial brands are loaded with added sugar, which offsets the health benefits and causes blood sugar levels to soar.

Get back on track in the new year with this delicious breakfast smoothie that's loaded with protein, fat, fiber and nutrients and will keep you going all morning long. The natural sugars from ripe fruit add the perfect amount of sweetness.

PB&J Smoothie

1 cup frozen berries

2 tablespoons peanut butter

1 3/4 cups unsweetened milk (or plant-based milk alternative)

2 tablespoons chia or flax seeds

This would also be a great after-school or before-sports snack for kids of all ages!
