At Blue Agave, elevated Tex-Mex meets bold, made-from-scratch flavor in a locally owned neighborhood favorite. Open Tuesday through Sunday, they serve classic dishes with delicious twists.
“My personal favorite for dinner is the carnitas enchiladas. It’s my number one recommendation to first-time guests,” says owner Tasha Miller. “We have our slow-roasted carnitas that we pull with Hatch chiles for the perfect amount of spice, then topped with a poblano crema sauce that really balances it out.”
For weekend brunch, she recommends their tres leches French toast, made with thick-cut sourdough and drizzled with cajeta. For drinks, try the Pink Lady—made with Tito’s, St-Germain, mint, bubbles, and edible glitter—or get a spicy introduction to mezcal with the Maguey Margarita.
The food and drinks are only part of the experience. Blue Agave’s patio features three TVs and games for all ages. With a lively vibe and no bad seats, it’s an easy place to settle in.
Beyond plans for Yappy Hours and small business events, the team is currently preparing for their holiday parties. On October 31st, guests can expect Halloween specials, costume contests, music, and plenty of decorations. Then, on November 1st, they’ll honor Día de los Muertos with a traditional Mexican celebration, including an ofrenda for those honoring loved ones.
With the restaurant’s first anniversary soon after, there’s even more to come, so keep an eye on their socials.
“I’m most proud of the positive feedback we have received and the regulars we have been able to create,” says Miller. “And I’m most excited about the events we host: live music every Saturday night, monthly Zumba on the patio, monthly trivia, and monthly karaoke. We can’t wait to add more events to the rotation.”
