Anthology of Tanglewood Independent Living names veteran Chef James Salmon as executive chef at Entice, the senior living residences' on-site luxury restaurant. Alongside the culinary service director, Chef Jolene King, Chef Salmon will oversee the entire food and beverage program at Entice.
Anita Vincent, Executive Director of Anthology of Tanglewood Independent Living and self-proclaimed foodie, is excited to have Salmon at the helm. "The residents of Anthology of Tanglewood are well-traveled and have been exposed to fine cuisine from all over the world. It was obvious that we should hire an executive chef with extensive training to bring an exceptional level of cuisine to our residents."
Chef Salmon was born in Jamaica and has traveled around the world twice while working in the cruise industry. He believes that dedication and commitment to his craft are essential and brings over 30 years of hospitality experience to Anthology of Tanglewood. His culinary arts career has allowed him to sail the Antarctic and Arctic regions while serving exclusive clientele. Working in the cruise industry since 1998, Salmon has utilized his versatile skills while holding positions from sous chef to executive chef. "I was born in Jamaica, so I have my Jamaican culinary experience to build on. I have prepared dishes from various regions, including Greece, Latin American, and Europe. Still, my favorite foods to prepare are traditional American menus with a flair", said Salmon. "I focus on healthy dishes using fresh ingredients that are nutritious and offer a distinctive flavor."
Chef Salmon is ready to share the same level of enthusiasm in the kitchen that he offered his previous exclusive clientele with the residents of Anthology of Tanglewood. He is committed to providing not only excellent flavors but also nourishment for the mind and body.
