Can you share a bit about your background and what motivated you to pursue your career path?
I began dancing in Greenwich under the direction of Felicity Foote at the Greenwich Ballet Workshop. After growing up in her studio and traveling to Germany for more than nine summers with her performing company to dance for good causes, I could not see a life without dance. My mother began researching dance majors and I chose UMass Five College Dance Program. My post graduate years were spent in NYC and Germany before returning to Greenwich and dedicating my time to teaching. I have been going ever since with an incredible team of dedicated and talented teachers that makes every year unique and its own journey.
What is the most valuable lesson you've learned throughout your career and personal life?
I've come to realize that the way I’ve built my business and life is exactly how it’s meant to be. It’s not about comparison—my studio and my journey are uniquely mine, designed to serve me and my community in the best way possible.
What do you hope to accomplish next?
At the 20-year mark, which is only four years away, I would like to pursue a degree in dance kinesiology.
How do you empower your students, especially women and girls, to build confidence and leadership through dance? Our studio is more than just a place to train – it’s a safe space where dancers can take risks, both physically and artistically, without fear. Through discipline and dedication, we instill skills that extend far beyond the studio. As our dancers hone their craft, they naturally develop punctuality, preparedness, confidence, and openness to new ideas and experiences – qualities that serve them in all areas of life. Performing for diverse audiences and supporting meaningful causes, both locally and abroad, teaches our dancers that dance is more than movement – it’s a powerful tool for connection, impact, and leadership. They leave our program not only as stronger artists but as empowered individuals ready to take on the world.
