“It's a way to share my love and creativity with folks. I love to cook and understand how ingredients work, in both classic and inventive ways” she said. “When I can share that with someone and see them light up, I know that I have created something special for them, that's where that reward comes in.”
For many people, food preparation can be a source of stress, especially during holidays and special occasions. Russell wants to reduce that stress by taking care of those details and allowing her customers to enjoy time with family.
“I know that a lot of times people truly try to take on too much,” Russell said. “They want the perfect setting and to be a perfect host, but unless that's what they do every day, it's very stressful and they don't have the time to enjoy themselves. I think that when you can have a trusted partner to come in and give you that joy and take some of that off your plate, absolutely do it.”
As a beekeeper, avid herb gardener, and someone who loves to cook from scratch, Russell also produces gourmet sauces, jams, herb blends, and of course, honey. In addition to using these fresh ingredients in her dishes, she has made them available for gifting.
