CBD stands for cannabidiol, derived directly from the hemp plant, which is a cousin of the marijuana plant. While CBD is a component of marijuana (one of hundreds), CBD itself does not cause a “high”.  Fleur Botanicals Premium CBD oil is a high-quality Broad Spectrum CBD which contains concentrations of beneficial cannabinoids and terpenes but has 0% THC, the component Delta-9, which causes the “high”.

CBD works through our endocannabinoid system (ECS) which is a complex biological system in the human body. Medical researchers discovered it in the 1990s and it has three components: receptors, enzymes, and endocannabinoids. It has been called one the most important physiological systems that exists, simply for the fact that it influences so many functions in the body and mind. From our mood, sleep, pain perception, digestive function, reproductive function, inflammation and more, the ECS is directly responsible for helping us maintain a state of balanced health and wellbeing. Understanding the effects of CBD is related to the relationship between the receptors and endocannabinoids.Activating these receptors produces various chemical responses that allow the body to maintain a state of balanced health and wellness as well as many of the health benefits that people may experience when taking CBD.

The non-psychoactive properties of CBD make it ideal for therapeutic use. In addition to treating the multiple forms of epilepsy, CBD is also being researched to show effectiveness in some for anxiety, stress, depression, sleep issues and physical ailments such as chronic pain and muscle spasm. There is no shortage of research to back up these claims, as well as endorsements like from the Arthritis Foundation that lists CBD as a dietary supplement shown to help with nerve pain and inflammation along with inflammation associated with arthritis.

Not all CBD oils and tinctures are created equal. The FDA has not approved any over-the-counter CBD products yet, so it is very important to choose your CBD products carefully. As with any dietary supplement, please consult your doctor with any questions you may have before using CBD.

CBD oil quality can only be known with verifiable third-party lab testing. All of Fleur Botanicals products have a QR code that brings you to our lab results which verify potency of CBD that is listed on our bottle as well as being free of pesticides, heavy metals, microbials or other harmful chemicals. Fleur Botanicals uses only the highest quality US grown hemp as well as the same strain of hemp to produce a consistent Organic, Non GMO product with the fewest ingredients possible.
