Luxury Living to Love

A new, high-end neighborhood with more space coming to Fayetteville!

Choosing a house is a big decision that takes time, energy, lots of conversations with professionals, and a sizeable investment. Finding the place where you and your family will live, day in and day out, is nothing to be cavalier about. This is one of the biggest decisions in your life and it deserves the time to make the best decision possible for the future of your family. Seeing your driveway at the end of a long day should make you smile... you should love where you live.

Cookie-cutter housing developments are a dime a dozen. But Jeff Lammes and Adrian Islas, owners of AJ Construction and Renovation, Inc., are breaking the mold with their latest project, Eva Gardens. The 33-lot development located on SR 85 and Old Senoia Road in Fayetteville will offer $1.5-million-and-up custom homes with a classic, European feel. And while the homes may offer the aesthetic of old English estates with ivy-covered walls and beautiful gardens, they will also provide modern finishes and conveniences.

Describing the new development as “very high end,” Jeff remarks, “We are one of the builders in Eva Gardens and it's going to be very unique. There are other high-end neighborhoods in Fayette County, but these are high-end homes on one-acre lots—high-end with some breathing room. Fayette County is seeing tremendous growth and there is an increasing demand for high-end, custom homes. There are a lot of standard neighborhoods, but not a lot of neighborhoods that bring this kind of quality construction. We are working closely with Jefferson Browne of Jefferson Browne Architecture, who is the lead designer and has a huge presence in our community. Their signature designs will be clearly evident."

Another thing that sets Eva Gardens apart is its biophilic design. While the sites of many developments are stripped bare before construction begins, this approach to designing a housing development emphasizes preserving the existing natural beauty. Most importantly, the biophilic design connects nature, the houses, and their occupants. This is achieved through thoughtful building placement and the choice of local, natural materials that reflect the developers’ commitment to sustainability, resilience, and respect for the natural surroundings.

Each home’s interior, marked with unique architectural features, will also support residents’ connection with the outdoors. High ceilings, large custom windows, and doorways will welcome natural light and beauty inside while blurring the barrier between interior and exterior. Artful pathways will beckon dwellers outside to interact with their gardens. Amenities at Eva Gardens will include a lakeside pavilion where the community can gather or where residents can enjoy the lake in quiet solitude. Cart paths will allow easy access to Fayette County’s new $14 million multi-use recreation center on Redwine Road, which will feature a walking/jogging track and sports courts.

Although the homes in Eva Gardens will adhere to the neighborhood aesthetic, they will include a variety of homes suited to each lot’s topography. Lot reservations have already begun and once the lot is chosen, future residents will work with an architect and interior designer to create exactly what they want within the neighborhood’s parameters. When site work is completed, Lammes said, “We’ll start building it.”  The first home construction is slated for June. “We can build pretty much whatever they want within the guidelines of our storyboard. We'll work hand in hand with the architect and interior designer to create their turn-key, custom homes.” Lammes said Eva Gardens is not a development for a certain age bracket.  “There are some folks in their early 20’s that can afford to live here and then there are retirees looking for high-end fixtures. It's for families of all ages.”

The team at AJ Construction and Renovation not only builds homes but also provides services to help homeowners enjoy the homes they’re in. As the temperature rises, most homeowners focus on their home’s exterior. Whether it's an outdoor kitchen, gazebo, custom garage, painting & refurbishing a porch, or adding hardscapes, Lammes said, “We have the teams to build whatever you want.” Lammes, who has been involved in residential construction since 2000, said his team offers free estimates and can meet with clients to help them plan their projects within their budget.
