It was five years ago that Capstone Christian Academy began serving the students and families of the Las Vegas area. Since then, the number of advancements in its curriculum have surpassed the school’s years of service and have quickly made Capstone a leader in education.
Principal Tracy Williams has been at the school since its opening and has witnessed each success with great pride for the commitment and dedication to exceptional education that sets Capstone apart from other private Christian institutions. With nearly 200 students enrolled in preschool through sixth grade classes today, the growth is a tangible marker of the school’s acceleration in academics.
By adding “one grade level each year,” Tracy said that Capstone is making good on its promise and original vision to provide the very best in education for students from preschool to 12th grade. “We are fortunate to already own a large piece of land very close to our current campus, which will allow us to expand thoughtfully.”
This expansion project, to include a middle and high school campus, is already in the works and while it aims to attract more students, the primary focus is on Capstone’s current students. “More than 90 percent of our elementary students perform at or above grade level,” said Tracy. The addition will let students continue their Capstone education and fully benefit from all the existing amenities and the exciting developments taking shape.
“We’re enriching our current programs with an expanded STEM curriculum and more opportunities in music and world languages,” Tracy shared. “Our athletic program is also growing, which is another way we’re helping students build confidence and character.” Each advancement, Tracy stresses, further supports the Capstone mission of offering the most comprehensive Christian education in Las Vegas.
Capstone embraces every part of its mission with equal dedication, but at its heart, the Christ-centered community is focused on the whole student. “We’re steadfast in equipping them with the tools to succeed in education and beyond, shaping world-changing leaders,” Tracy said.
The latest projects, including campus expansions, reflect that vision. “These efforts allow us to continue living out our mission—preparing graduates who are academically excellent, spiritually grounded, and ready to make an impact on the world.”
Tracy also recognizes that Capstone is special not just for what it offers but also because of its people. “I’m thankful every day for the families who trust us with their children and for the teachers who pour so much into each student.” This relationship is vital to building upon the solid foundation established on two acres of land five years ago. “With small class sizes, a safe and nurturing environment, and a record of strong academic achievement, we’re committed to helping students thrive.”
As the landscape is growing, Capstone is committed to maintaining the reputation that has awarded them the honor of many distinctions, including the Best Faith Based School in the Best of Las Vegas awards in 2024. The school also has several notable ties to two of the country’s top private schools, Valley Christian Schools and Valor Christian High School, who have offered support and guidance.
