With the vision of Utah Tech Trustee Dave Elkington and his sister, Wendy Elkington Stabler, Utah Tech has established the Elkington Founder Speaker Series.
The series is offered as part of the university’s polytechnic approach to education, a model that emphasizes hands-on learning and career preparation in line with Utah Tech’s commitment to providing open, inclusive and comprehensive educational opportunities.
In 2004, Elkington founded a sales acceleration software company called Inside Sales, now known as XANT. Dave’s desire to share his experiences inspired him to accept the invitation to join the Utah Tech Board of Trustees in 2021. He has been a significant resource for the university, using his time, business connections and financial resources to enhance learning experiences.
Past presenters have been Ryan Westwood, CEO of Simplus, and Kraig Kleeman, CEO of The New Workforce & Rock the C-Suite.
The continuing series promises to bring more successful business owners to share the nuts and bolts of starting a business, the sacrifices to be made and the tenacity required to continue forward with an idea.
The series is being held at the Eccles Fine Arts Center in the Main Stage Theater.
