The city of Orange Beach is helping tomorrows youth today with their Expect Excellence programs.
Expect Excellence is a unique department of the City of Orange Beach that offers all Orange Beach residents opportunities in academics, continued education, arts and enrichment.
The Expect Excellence department includes a free after school program for Kindergarten- Sixth Grade students, a Pre-K after school program, a Summer Camp program for rising First-Seventh grade students, Expect Excellence Community Theatre for all ages, a teaching Music Studio for all ages, and Continuing Excellence (arts, and enrichment) for adults.
One of the primary goals of the Expect Excellence programs for children is to instill a sense of confidence in them. Through these programs, children learn to set goals, work hard, and achieve success. This helps them develop a strong sense of self-worth and confidence that will serve them well throughout their lives.
Another important aspect of Expect Excellence programs for children is the emphasis on team work. Children learn to work together towards a common goal, and to support and encourage one another along the way. This helps them develop strong social skills and builds a sense of camaraderie and community.
Academic excellence is also a key focus of Expect Excellence programs for children. These programs provide children with the tools and resources they need to excel in school, including tutoring, study groups, and other educational resources. This helps children develop a love of learning and a desire to achieve their full potential academically.
Sports and fitness are also important components of Expect Excellence programs for children. These programs provide children with opportunities to participate in organized sports and fitness activities, learn new skills, and develop a sense of discipline and dedication. This promotes physical healing and well-being, as well as a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem.
Speaking with Jessica Langston - Creative Director for Expect Excellence Program she says " It's so important that our students learn these critical skills for excelling in their future endeavors. With performing art programs we are teaching children to discover and develop their passions that lead to a life full of quality and joy."
