Fall Harvest in Idaho

No matter where you go in this fine state, you’re certain to come across some stunning colors this season

While most of us live in the general Boise metro area, we are surrounded by agriculture. Every fall there is a bounty harvested from those fields. As the harvest begins you can feel fall in the air. It smells different, there is a chill in the mornings. You find yourself wearing a coat into work, and carrying it home.

Fall is especially magical for many reasons, but the changing of the leaves from their luscious green to golden yellows and crimson reds is by far the most amazing. A large portion of central and southern Idaho will enjoy its peak foliage viewing the week of October 5th. During this time, places like Boise and Sun Valley will see a wide variety of Idaho fall foliage. Also in their peak will be places in southeastern Idaho such as Soda Springs, Pocatello, and Preston. Northern Idaho enjoys their peak foliage just a week later. This is certainly one of my favorite times of the year. See more at KnowlesGallery.com
