Family First

Nailed It Roofing owners Rachel and Damon Einck share how they balance their business and raising three small kids.

Shingles, diapers and tubs – oh my!

Those are a few of the typical things Rachel Einck juggles daily. Einck owns Nailed It Roofing, a roof and construction business with her husband, Damon. The two have been in or around the industry their whole lives, so the decision to go into business together was a natural one.

“Damon was an installer back in the day and I’ve been helping with church builds and roofing services since I was a kid,” Rachel explained.

The choice wasn’t without its hurdles. Einck is not just a business owner, but a mother, as well. She and Damon share three children with their youngest under a year old. How do they manage it all?

“It was a struggle at first,” Rachel laughed. “But we learned it’s important to schedule time out for family-focused fun each weekend.”

Most importantly, they learned that there’s a time and a place for work, and it’s not at the dinner table. When they aren’t roofing, the Eincks are usually out and about with their children. The whole family is avid Dallas Stars fans, so they try to attend as many games as possible during the season.

They also go wherever the kids are happiest, including the Fort Worth Zoo and the Botanical Gardens.

Balancing life as a mother and a businesswoman brings plenty of challenges, but Rachel wouldn’t change it for anything else.

“My husband and I have a special love for roofing. So many in this industry are salesmen and they’re good at it, but they don’t know how a roof should be installed, let alone how it should work,” Einck said.

That’s what Nailed It Roofing does differently. Einck is proud that this company is built on integrity and taking care of owners while staying within the law.
