Jessi Rodriguez’s Mission to Make Pilates Accessible to All - In Studio or at Home

For nearly two decades, Jessi Rodriguez has dedicated herself to helping people move, feel, and live better through the power of Pilates. A lifelong dancer, Jessi was first introduced to Pilates while living in Los Angeles. What started as a simple class recommendation quickly turned into a lifelong passion. “I fell in love,” she recalls. “Next thing you know, I signed up for teacher training, and the rest is history! I’ve now been teaching for 19 years—it’s the best job ever!”

Jessi has worked with individuals from all walks of life—athletes, seniors, expectant mothers, and competitive dancers—and has seen firsthand how Pilates transforms both body and mind. “People feel better when they do Pilates,” she says. “It’s not just about getting stronger or more flexible; it’s about feeling good in your own body.”

While in-person Pilates classes offer a hands-on experience, Jessi recognized that not everyone could access a studio. That realization led her to create Pilates by Jessi, an online platform offering pre-recorded classes for all fitness levels. “Pilates in a studio is ideal, but not feasible for everyone,” she explains. “When friends asked me about online options, I hadn’t found a site I was really impressed with—so I made my own!” Pilates by Jessi offers a variety of classes requiring minimal space and equipment. “My basic mat classes need very little room—just enough for a mat,” she says. “And if you want to add props or try my suspension strap (TRX) workouts, I offer modifications for every level.”

Jessi emphasizes that Pilates is more than just a workout—it’s a practice that enhances overall well-being. “Pilates has been proven to help people both feel and look better,” she says. “Clients tell me how much their bodies crave it when they take a break. It’s not just about movement; it’s a reset for both your body and mind.” Pilates fosters a strong mind-body connection, offering a break from daily stress. “Taking just 30 minutes to an hour to focus on yourself leaves you feeling energized mentally and physically,” she explains. She encourages newcomers to give it a try. “The biggest regrets most people have in life are the things they didn't try. You don’t have to be perfect—Pilates is a journey, and I’m right there with you, struggling and growing too!”

Jessi is constantly evolving her platform to meet the needs of her community. One of her latest offerings is Personalized Pilates Plans, which include a one-on-one Zoom call for goal setting and a customized workout program. She has also introduced Pilates While Pregnant classes and is preparing for a Plank Challenge to motivate members. For Jessi, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing the impact Pilates has on others. “Clients tell me how much Pilates has changed how they feel—whether it’s reducing pain, keeping up with grandkids, or improving agility on the soccer field,” she says. “My job is to guide them, and theirs is just to show up and put in the effort.”

Pilates by Jessi is more than just a workout platform—it’s a supportive community where everyone, regardless of age or fitness level, can experience the transformative power of movement. The platform includes a seven-day free trial, with options for a monthly membership or a discounted annual subscription. “Let’s flow together and unlock the limitless possibilities within you,” Jessi says.
