Summertime is here, and that means that a favorite mid summer staple is also here — fireworks. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, there are not as many opportunities to catch fireworks as usual. Don't worry; we still have you covered with local places to catch some awesome displays.
One thing that's amazing about summer is we don't only have to see fireworks displays one day a year, we get to catch them over the whole summer! Some of the events we have included are multiple day-long fairs, and some are only for a night. There are some great options, and they're all over Oakland County! Check out the events below to see what sparks you and your family's interest.
Walled Lake Beach Party/Market Fest and Fireworks
This fun day and night are taking place Saturday, June 19, 2021, starting at 1 p.m. It will be a day filled with shopping, food, music and more. This event takes place all along Walled Lake, mainly at East Lake Dr. and Mercer Beach. It is a fun event to get the family together and enjoy the sunshine. Lake Orion Lion's Club Jubilee Fireworks
Not only is this a fun area to watch fireworks, but the Lake Orion Lion's Club is also hosting a 4-day carnival for you and the family to enjoy in Downtown Lake Orion. The dates are Thursday, June 24 to Sunday, June 27. The Fireworks will be taking place on Saturday, June 26. To learn more about this weekend, check out www.lakeorionfireworks.org.
Tiki Night Fireworks
Tiki Night on Wolverine lake is a massive pre-Fourth of July celebration that takes place every year on July 3. This year is no different, and it is an event you don't want to miss. The event usually starts at dusk. More information will come as it gets closer (check out www.wolverinelake.com)
Clarkston Fireworks
The Clarkston Fireworks, AKA Pine Knob Fireworks, are scheduled for July 4, 2021. What a perfect way to celebrate Independence Day! Typically, you can sit at DTE and partake in the celebration. However, due to COVID-19, this year you'll have to catch the main event from your home.
