What sets First Call apart?
Our commitment to offering local communities exceptional private duty home healthcare, nursing and healthcare employment, and medical staffing services has made First Call a leader in the private duty home healthcare and medical staffing industry. First Call employees have undergone an extensive screening and hiring process that ensures our clients receive experienced, qualified, and credentialed medical personnel for their every need.
Where did the name First Call come from?
For the first 5 years of operation, First Call was affiliated with a different company. When Joe and Chris chose to become an independent company, they held an internal contest to decide the name. First Call was chosen to show our local communities that when they need help, we should be their First Call!
What have been First Call’s major turning points?
In 2001, First Call opened its second office in Oklahoma City. The following year, First Call of Springfield opened its doors. Then in 2010, Susan Hogue joined the First Call family and opened First Call of Dallas. We are proud to have expanded our services to include the Oklahoma City, Springfield, and Dallas areas!
Timeline:
1997 – Joe Wolfe and Chris Sanders open First Call’s first location in Tulsa, combining more than 50 years of healthcare experience.
2001 – First Call opens its Oklahoma City location, hiring experienced local staff to serve another large Oklahoma community.
2002 – First Call expands into Missouri with a location in Springfield.
2010 – Susan Hogue, former vice president of operations at NurseCore, joins First Call, opening First Call of Dallas.
2022 – First Call celebrates its 25th anniversary, now with four locations across three states.
