This month, we’re proud to recognize Officer Brett Anderson as our First Responder of the Month—a dedicated public servant, loving husband and father, and true hometown hero.

With over 18 years of service, Officer Anderson has earned the respect of his department and the community he proudly calls home. Whether he’s helping a stranded driver on the roadside or rushing into danger during critical moments, Brett leads with courage, heart, and an unshakable sense of duty. During the outlet mall shooting, he was one of the first officers on scene. Without hesitation, he worked to ensure the safety of our community, helping to evacuate civilians, searching for other potential threats, and providing life-saving assistance to the injured. His selflessness and bravery that day earned him the Medal of Valor—but for Brett, it’s just another day in the line of duty.

Beyond his badge, he’s a father to two teenage boys and a loving husband. His steady commitment to service, his family, and his community reflects the best of what it means to be a first responder.

Thank you, Officer Anderson, for your selfless service and unwavering commitment. You are a shining example of what it means to serve with heart.
