Cultural Homestay International

Cultural Homestay International (CHI) believes in the value and potential of cultural exchange. They have been promoting international understanding and goodwill through people-to-people exchanges since 1980.

Many — like Kamilla Silina, local resident and Digital Marketing Manager for CHI — consider it a life-changing experience.

Originally from Uzbekistan, Kamilla was a foreign exchange student at Farmersville High School. She recalls that some of her favorite moments were uniquely American experiences like Thanksgiving and Halloween. “You see holidays in the movies, but it’s not even close to what it’s really like,” shares Kamilla.

The world is filled with beauty and wonder, and CHI provides a variety of ways to experience it.

Travel Abroad Programs

Life begins when you step out of your comfort zone. The World Explorers program allows anyone to experience the excitement of living abroad. They can even help design a unique gap Yyar experience, combining multiple programs in different destinations for up to 12 months of travel.

Educational Programs

Broaden your family's horizons while making a student’s dream come true. Introduce your children to new ideas, customs, and values they may not have experienced before.

Not only does hosting an exchange student provide the opportunity to learn about a different culture and language, but it also fosters strong, lasting relationships.

Work Experience Programs

Do you have internship opportunities available at your business? Bring global diversity to your team by hosting a highly qualified, English-proficient international exchange student. They will bring their knowledge and excitement to your workplace, and everyone will benefit from the cross-pollination of ideas, improved communication, collaboration, and innovation.

Goodwill Through Cultural Exchange

You can trust CHI. Their field staff is knowledgeable and experienced, and they work to support you or your program with efficiency, patience, and enthusiasm.

We can all benefit from seeing the world through a different point of view.

“If we care a little more, observe a little more,” says Salina, “we can learn a lot.”
