Fitness Tips For Tackling 2023 Resolutions

Local Exercise And Wellness Coaches Provide Encouragement For New Year Routines

4x4 Mobile Fitness

On-the-move personal training business founder and CEO Zachary Olstad says 4x4 Mobile Fitness programs benefit people of all ages, skill levels and goals in the comfort of their residences, driveways, garages or neighborhoods. "We provide enjoyable, safe, pain-free, convenient and effective fitness sessions," he adds.

Zach is a former NFL Fullback and author of Work Horse:  From an Amish Farm to the NFL Gridiron.

Among the 4x4 services are strength training, circuit training, mobility training and athlete training, with each client's specific goals evaluated and incorporated. "Each of our 4x4 Fitness vehicles are equipped with all of the proper fitness equipment that's necessary to increase fitness levels and longevity," Zach adds. "Working out at home is comfortable and safe. Most importantly, it gives you more time to spend with your family and loved ones. The great thing is also personalization. Our trainers are top-of-the-line experts in their field. You can trust they'll have you exercising with proper form and progressing appropriately."

He recommends considering one of the company's five fitness packages, which provide options for a single client or a group. The single package envelops either six or 12 sessions. The group packages cover from six to 24 sessions.

U.S. Air Force veteran and former UFC and Texas Longhorns strength and conditioning assistant Jordan Pierson is a 4x4 certified strength and conditioning specialist, as is Colin Wistuba Colin, who spent six years at Division 1, Eastern Michigan as a strength/conditioning coach before working as a strength specialist for the U.S. Army. Rounding out this crew is Randi Ekstrand, National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer, who relocated from California.

Zach's advice for those wanting to start fitness routines as part of New Year's Resolutions:  "Hiring a personal trainer is truly the best investment one can make. Having that accountability partner is everything. On top of someone to hold you accountable, find a fitness plan that’s enjoyable for you. We specialize each clients' program to make it rewarding and effective for them. Accountability and consistency yield results."

"Start with little wins. Don’t try to be a hero -- many people will burn out quickly," he reminds. "Slow, steady progressions will keep you consistent and healthy."

New for 2023 is an all-inclusive plan that combines fitness and nutrition by just becoming a part of the 4x4 family.

Prevail Fitness and Rehab

"Our mission is to be the most comprehensive health, fitness and rehab facility so we can help our clients prevail over any obstacles. We promise to provide you with uncompromised quality care for unrivaled impact and results," vows Dr. Derek Leist, DC, A.R.T., co-owner of Prevail Fitness and Rehab.

Co-owner Katie Leist adds that their team empowers clients and helps them persevere toward individual goals. "In essence, we help clients maximize their health and longevity."

The hardest part of starting something new is purely the act of choosing to begin, agrees Katie. "Walking through the gym doors and committing to making positive changes in your life can feel daunting, but the reward is greater than the anxiety. Finding a gym community that you mesh with is key. You want to be able to connect with your trainer and feel at ease with your surroundings to fully commit to a plan."

Regarding how to mentally prepare for starting new exercise programs or fitness regimens, the Leists remind us that human bodies are built for movement. "The first step should be to address weaknesses. Your trainer will know what to look for and how to help. There's nothing wrong with taking it slow and learning how hard you can push yourself," says Dr. Leist. "Once your baselines are established you'll be able to hit goals and set new ones continuously. Fitness is a never-ending road, you just have to enjoy the ride."

Burn Boot Camp

"Start 2023 strong. Why wait to begin your wellness journey?" asks Burn Boot Camp Brentwood franchise partners Andrew and Leigh Ann Saucier, who offer a complimentary, seven-day trial to their exercise training services.

Leigh Ann says consistency is a major factor in creating fitness results. "Showing up is the price of admission. Intensity is the battle."

She says their camps are different from other fitness programs due to challenging workouts and unlimited child watch, making it the perfect family gym.

Burn Boot Camp's 45-minute cardio/strength fitness workouts are provided at 204 Ward Circle. Andrew says typical Burn weekly protocols cover upper body strength; core strength/conditioning; lower body strength; speed and agility; full body strength; and athletic conditioning. Regarding jumpstarting 2023, he says:  "Commit to yourself through consistent exercise for 90 days without giving up. Progress takes consistency and time. Without giving a fitness program at least three months, it will be difficult to stimulate mental and physical strength."

The Sauciers say they're offering January's four weeks for $69 per person, which includes unlimited camps, child watch and nutritional guidance.
