Four Seasons, Four Ways

A Year of Elevated Experiences in the Heart of the Tetons

It’s hard to put into words just how special Teton Village, Wyoming is. Equal parts luxury and wild, ease and awe, the Jackson Hole area is the kind of place that lets you feel away, detached, and deeply present. Something essential for busy families always on the go. Something essential for families looking to reconnect and be among the most beautiful scenery imaginable. And Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole? It makes the magic feel like home.

Our recent summer escape to the towering peaks of the Tetons did not disappoint. The property is spacious, elevated, and thoughtfully family-friendly. Multiple bedrooms, a full kitchen, cozy wood-beam fireplaces, and yes, in-unit laundry (music to mom-ears when traveling with kids).

We kicked off our stay with dinner at the property's Handle Bar, a lively and relaxed spot perched at the base of the mountain. We indulged in elk meatballs, brisket grilled cheese, and the golden hour glow.

The next morning, we set out early on a wildlife safari with Jackson Hole Wildlife Safaris, an excursion courtesy of Four Seasons. Our guide was a force of nature: energetic, hilarious, and a walking encyclopedia of Grand Teton lore. With binoculars in hand, we sought to spot bison, pronghorn, eagles... and the ultimate prize: a moose, just off the trail, massive and magnificent. The kids were wide-eyed. As were us big kids.

Later that day, we rode the tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain- a must. At over 10,000 feet, we indulged in Corbet’s Cabin waffles (banana Nutella) and took in panoramic views that made you pause, breathe, and take it all in. Also an itinerary must: spending an afternoon at Snow King Mountain in downtown Jackson. The Cowboy Coaster is a thrill, as is the Alpine Slide. Not to mention mini-golf, a scenic chairlift, and more.

Ranked the #1 Resort in Wyoming by U.S. News & World Report, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole blends frontier heritage with five-star comfort. With spacious guest rooms and private residences, a world-class alpine spa, exceptional culinary concepts, and thoughtful family programming, it’s where rustic charm meets refined luxury. Whether you're staying in a one-bedroom suite or a sprawling five-bedroom penthouse with oversized soaking tubs and panoramic Teton views, you’ll feel like you're living the dream… not just visiting it.

As the Tetons bask under big-sky blue, summer at Four Seasons is all about wide-open adventure. We loved starting our mornings at First Chair, the resort’s grab-and-go café, where fresh pastries and cold-pressed juices fuel whatever adventure the day has in store.

And there are so many ways to explore. If you’re feeling bold, soar tandem on a paragliding flight with a professional pilot from the very top of the tram, taking in jaw-dropping views as you glide above the valley. Evenings offer enjoying live performances at the Grand Teton Music Festival or free Concerts on the Commons held in July and August. Wanna be a cowboy? Saddle up for a scenic horseback ride.

And here’s an insider secret: tucked discreetly within Four Seasons is 80 Proof, the resort’s hidden speakeasy (Jackson’s best-kept secret). Slip inside, order a Trapper’s Pay Old Fashioned, and be wowed by the eccentric mixologist.

But of course, Four Seasons is a year-round kind of place. Here’s how to make the most of fall, winter, and spring as well.

FALL

Fall in Jackson Hole is all about golden aspens and quiet connection. Mornings can begin with a facial at the Four Seasons spa or a Normatec compression session to ease into the day.

For those looking to explore beyond the resort, it's an ideal season for a day trip to Yellowstone. Cooler temps and fewer crowds make it feel like a private tour of America’s most iconic park. Leave early to catch sunrise over Jackson Lake, and stick to the Lower Loop for highlights like Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic, and Hayden Valley.

Dinner at Steadfire Chophouse rounds out the evening with a warm, firelit atmosphere. From fresh oysters to a towering porterhouse steak to housemade Valrhona s’mores, it’s a fall feast worth lingering over.

WINTER

Jackson Hole is a true winter wonderland. With snow blanketing every surface, it feels straight out of a snow globe. Four Seasons makes it all easy to enjoy, especially for families. A perfect winter day might include snowmobiling through the Gros Ventre Mountains, followed by a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge where wildlife wanders just feet from the trail.

Snowshoe adventures offer a peaceful way to explore the quiet trails, with guides who make it approachable even for younger kids. Dog sledding through the backcountry is a family favorite, and for guests craving adrenaline, heli-skiing in untouched powder can be arranged through the concierge.

Back at the resort, Four Seasons brings winter comfort to life with après-yoga, hot cocoa in the lobby, and cozy extras like cookie decorating and fireside storytelling for kids.

SPRING

Spring in Jackson Hole is something special. Guests can rent e-bikes and ride along wide, uncrowded trails bordered by wildflowers and melting snow, often feeling like they have the landscape entirely to themselves.

Larger families or groups will appreciate the Four Seasons Granite Residence, a spacious five-bedroom retreat ideal for longer stays or multigenerational travel.

Spring is also ideal to explore Grand Teton National Park. Taking the shuttle across Jenny Lake makes the hike to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point more manageable for young hikers, while still offering all the scenic payoff. For picture-perfect moments, Mormon Row at sunset delivers iconic barn views framed by snow-dusted peaks.
