Pharmacy owner Todd Garrett, Pharm D, moved to Nashville when he was 18 to attend Lipscomb University, where he earned his doctorate of pharmacy. After graduation, he worked for various chain pharmacies before realizing he wanted to do more.
“I was finally able to make my dream a reality and open Franklin Family Pharmacy,” Todd says. “We love helping people and earning the reputation as a place where folks can not only get their prescriptions filled, but also get advice and guidance. There is the assumption that we are more expensive, but oftentimes we are less expensive than the chains because of the buying groups we participate in that give us great prices on drugs. We also provide drug interaction services and medication synchronization.”
Franklin Family Pharmacy also offers compounding, which is a great option for customers who have stomach irritation or other issues associated with oral medications, concern with the taste or size of certain oral medications or take medication doses that are not commercially available.
Todd adds that his wife, Chaslynn, has been an integral part of the pharmacy’s success.
“She helps me tremendously with running our supplement section and gift shop, in addition to taking care of our two young children. Chaslynn also acts as a sounding board for big-picture decisions”, he says.
The pharmacy’s two technicians, Kaitlyn Hendel and Micah McDowell, provide “amazing service and will go above and beyond for our customers.”
