Fresh take on a local favorite

The Blind Pig is now Blind Coyote Cantina, serving up sensational, sizzling Mexican food and delicious drinks in Yorba Linda

Grab your crew and celebrate the season of gratitude at The Blind Coyote Cantina formerly The Blind Pig, where you’re in store for a delicious, memorable meal.

In 2019, Tony Monaco, owner of The Blind Pig in Santa Margarita, opened a second location in Yorba Linda, along with Executive Chef Karl Pfleider.

Five years later, Tony changed the name and concept of the Yorba Linda location. Blind Coyote Cantina, formerly The Blind Pig, is now open for business!

“Join us for a vibrant atmosphere filled with flavor and fun. Experience an elevated dining experience that celebrates Mexican cuisine paired with a California ranchero influence. We feature expertly crafted dishes, an exceptional agave bar, and a curated selection of top tequilas and mezcals.”

“We took the things we love most about The Bling Pig and paired them with Mexican cuisine. Enjoy upbeat vibes, an upscale but inviting atmosphere, and a world-class bar program.”

Although the restaurant has a new name and concept, they’ve stayed true to only using the freshest, best quality ingredients and delivering excellent service their customers love.

Tony’s restaurant roots and community ties have always run deep.

“I’ve always been a community-driven restaurateur. My first restaurant was in my hometown,–Rancho Santa Margarita. Yorba Linda has a lot of similarities with RSM in that sense. I have many longtime family friends who live in Yorba Linda, and I spent a lot of time in the community myself before opening the restaurant. I have always liked to take care of the people who take care of me.”

“We always use local vendors for our restaurants whenever possible. Anytime we need a service that can be done by a Yorba Linda-based business, we call them. We are also very quick to give gift cards for local fundraisers, schools, and other good causes.”

“We do a happy hour every day from 3-5 pm, with half-off select antojitos and our entire mariscos menus, as well as heavily discounted drinks.”

“Along with happy hour, be on the lookout for our weekly specials as well, such as our can’t miss ‘Taco Tuesday’ deals.”

As an homage to Chef Karl’s Mexican heritage, an array of exciting new menu items are ready and waiting to tempt your tastebuds.

Feast on flavorful appetizers like tableside guacamole, chicken taquitos, lamb empanadas, octopus con chorizo, grilled corn esquites, and queso fundido.

Indulge in enticing choices like Tony’s chicken tacos, crispy fish tacos, bay scallop tostadas, snapper ceviche, sensational salads, chicken tortilla soup, and a shrimp “coctel” bursting with the flavors of tomato, onion, cucumber, avocado, cilantro, and lime.

Other must-try dishes include pan-seared black cod, chile verde, Milanesa torta, and a Vaquero steak that’s 20 ounces of pure ribeye heaven, topped with avocado, pico de gallo, and a side of rice and beans.
