Rescuing one pet at a time: Frisco Humane Society is an 100% volunteer-driven/all-foster home-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue organization. FHS provides temporary foster care and medical attention for homeless animals until permanent homes can be found for them. This organization is funded by adoption fees, public donations and fundraising efforts.
Being a foster pet parent is a rewarding, unforgettable experience. However, adoptions open up spaces in foster homes to save other animals. Each pet adopted is spay/neutered, tested, vaccinated, has flea/tick/worm preventative and is microchipped.
Supporters can donate time for adoption events, fundraising activities or administrative duties. Financial donations provide for medical care and veterinary services.
Adopt-A-Pet events for cats are held every Saturday and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. in PetSmart at 3333 Preston Road (Stonebriar Centre) in Frisco. Both dog and cat 'Meet and Greets' and adoptions are available by appointment (pictures of adoptables online).
