As I write this, I am sitting and daydreaming about our annual family summer trip that is to begin next week. Every summer we take a whole month to go exploring with our boys in our RV. It has been a family tradition for the past six years! There is so much that goes into this every year—planning, packing, making sure all the bases are covered in our absence, etc. Truthfully, it’s a ton of work. Some think it’s crazy that the six of us leave for that long on the road, packed into our cozy home on wheels, but we treasure our adventures together! After all, the days are numbered while our boys are still under our roof (in fact, our oldest is now preparing to leave for college this fall), so the way we see it … carpe diem!
The summer months are a great time to take advantage of time away from the everyday grind of life. It’s so important to get out and live life to the fullest and enjoy some down time.
I hope you are getting a chance to unplug a bit and get some well-deserved R&R to recharge and spend time for yourself and with those you love most. Perhaps you are escaping the summer heat or just hanging around at home, at the very least, take a little time to sit back, relax and read this month’s issue which is filled with easygoing and enjoyable content to allow your mind to escape a bit.
