I’m sure many of us can agree when I say, “How is it already August?!” Summer break has come and gone, leaving behind many memories. I’m also happy to say, I’m really glad school is back in session.

As the saying goes, “The days are long, but the years are short.” This concept is definitely starting to hit a little closer to the heart as my kids grow up and are less dependent on me. Even on those long days where exhaustion, overstimulation, and excessive heat all collide at once, I’m still able to find those sweet smiles looking at me at the end of the day.

It’s the same thing when it comes to the joy our pets bring us. We value and cherish all of those snuggles, extra kisses, and unconditional love from them, too. Just like our two-legged kids, “The puppy days are long, but the years are short.”

With excessive heat days keeping us indoors more, we can use these days to spend more quality time with our favorite little ones. Whether that’s a new game or toy, enjoy the time together! It goes by faster than we like to admit.
