What I love the most about style is its individuality. I think you can tell a lot about a person from their style. It’s unique, yet not necessarily one-of-a-kind. And it’s always changing.
They say history tends to repeat itself. Fashion isn’t exempt from this rule either. I’m starting to see fashion from my childhood come back—so much so that I actually got out my yearbooks to see how similar things are from 25-plus years ago to today. Honestly, the quality of the photos was the most significant change, not the style of clothing.
Growing up, I remember my mom saying the most dreaded words any teenager can hear from their parents: “I remember wearing those clothes and that style being around, too.” Like any teenager wants to hear that they’re wearing the same thing their parents wore growing up! Guess what? Now I’m seeing the teens wear what I wore growing up.
Even though we see fashion repeat itself, each generation makes it unique to them—and that’s what makes fashion style. That is what makes style so unique. From what we wear to the car we drive to the house we live in, everything we have represents our style. Scottsdale is no exception to this rule. This issue represents just that: Scottsdale’s Style.
What’s your style?
