When most people think about planning a family vacation, their minds often jump to theme parks like Disney World or all-inclusive resorts designed exclusively with children in mind. While these destinations create lasting memories for the kids, they leave little room for parents to unwind and enjoy the experience themselves.

But family vacations don’t have to mean compromising comfort or sacrificing luxury. For parents who still want a trip that accommodates every family member’s needs, The Shore Club and The Palms in Turks and Caicos offer the perfect solution. These stunning resorts combine elegance, relaxation, and luxurious amenities with family-friendly activities, ensuring that every member of the family can have an unforgettable experience.

These two luxury resorts are located just ten minutes apart, making it easy for families to enjoy the best of both worlds. A complimentary shuttle runs regularly between The Shore Club and The Palms, allowing guests to experience the unique offerings of each property seamlessly. Both resorts feature their own dedicated kids’ clubs, thoughtfully designed with locally inspired activities and programming that immerse younger guests in the vibrant culture of Turks and Caicos.
“The focus is on blending play with learning, providing kids a deeper connection to the Turks and Caicos environment while having a blast,” says Karen Whitt, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of The Hartling Group.

Opened in January 2017, The Shore Club was the first resort on Providenciales’ Long Bay Beach and was named #1 Resort in the Caribbean by Travel + Leisure in 2019. Guests can relax and unwind at the luxurious Dune Spa and take advantage of the wide range of fitness amenities, which include a full-service tennis court and lap pool. The property also offers a variety of culinary offerings, including the fine dining Japanese and Peruvian fusion restaurant SUI-REN; four sparkling pools; and complimentary access to bikes and water sports gear, such as snorkels, sea kayaks, paddleboards, and Hobie Cats. The Shore Club’s location on Long Bay Beach makes it an ideal destination for windsurfing and sailing, given its specific wind patterns, shallow turquoise waters, and clean sandy bottom.

“What makes The Shore Club a truly unique place to stay is the feeling of being in your own private sanctuary while still enjoying all the luxurious amenities of a world-class resort,” Karen says. “One of my favorite features is the six Estate Villas. These standalone retreats feel like a home away from home, perfect for multi-generational families or groups seeking privacy and space. I love how each villa offers the opportunity to unwind with your own heated pool, whirlpool, and spacious terraces, all thoughtfully designed for comfort and relaxation.”

Meanwhile, The Palms opened in 2005 and is the epitome of timeless sophistication. Located on the award-winning Grace Bay Beach, The Palms includes high-end retail shops, a dreamy 25,000 square-foot spa, the al fresco Parallel23 restaurant, tennis courts, and complimentary water sports on white sand beaches. Most recently, The Palms unveiled an impressive $18 million renovation, complete with an expansive new pool deck and a new oceanfront restaurant, Si Si, offering breathtaking sunset views — in addition to refreshed guest rooms. Grace Bay Beach is a fantastic choice for swimming and various water sports, such as snorkeling or taking out a Hobie Cat for a sail right from The Palms’ shore.

“My favorite feature of The Palms is the warm, personalized spirit of our staff, combined with the resort’s timeless charm and elevated elegance,” Karen explains. “Having been part of the journey as a former General Manager, I hold a special place in my heart for the unique character that defines The Palms. Celebrating its 20th anniversary and recent renovations, including the exquisite new oceanfront dining space and the sophisticated expansion of the pool deck, further highlights the sense of community we’ve built. It’s more than just a resort; it’s a place where memories are created and cherished.”

While the kids are having fun at the kids’ clubs, parents are free to relax, recharge, and indulge in everything the resorts have to offer. Whether it’s spending a peaceful afternoon at The Palms’ wellness spa, enjoying a delicious meal at one of the on-site restaurants, or sipping cocktails at the swim-up bar, there’s no shortage of ways to reconnect and unwind for date night.

Treat yourself and your kids to a family trip that takes vacationing to the next level, where you can rejuvenate and have fun with the whole family. The Shore Club and The Palms make it easy for parents to enjoy quality time together while knowing their children are in good hands.
