Ingredients:
- 3 cups bread flour
- 1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Olive oil
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- Flaky sea salt
- Herbs and sliced vegetables for decoration
Directions:
Place dry ingredients, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and rosemary in the mixer and blend briefly to combine with dough hook.
Add about 1 1/4 cup water and mix on low speed for about 1 minute. Add additional water if the dough is dry.
Increase speed slightly and continue mixing until dough is picked up by the dough hook.
Shape into a ball, and place in a greased bowl. Cover with plastic wrap. Let the dough rise for a minimum of 1 hour.
Shape into a flat round or rectangle, about ½ - 1 inch thick.
Place dough on an oiled baking sheet and gently stretch in all directions. Cover with oiled plastic wrap. Allow the dough to rise about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
When the dough has doubled in height, firmly press your fingers into the dough until you have dimples spread evenly over the surface. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil on the surface of the dough and sprinkle with flaky salt. If you are decorating your focaccia, gently press the vegetables of your choice into the top of the dough. Place it into the oven and bake for about 25 minutes. Let cool slightly and enjoy!
