Gather' Round Gallatin

Celebrating Local Flavors and Favorite Tables That Bring Gallatin Together

There’s something special about gathering around a table, especially when that table is right here in Gallatin. Our growing food scene is filled with local flavor, familiar faces and plenty of reasons to pull up a chair and stay awhile.

For our October Food & Drink Issue, we’re celebrating four local favorites that each bring something unique to the table. From the first sip to the last bite, these spots remind us that dining out is about more than what’s on the menu. It’s about the people behind the plates, the atmosphere that welcomes you in and the memories made over meals shared with family and friends.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect date-night destination, meeting friends for a casual bite, enjoying a leisurely lunch or simply craving something delicious, Gallatin offers plenty to savor. These four stops are just a taste of what makes our local dining community so special.

So, consider this your invitation to try somewhere new, revisit an old favorite and, most importantly, support the local restaurants that help give our city its flavor.

This fall, gather your people, come hungry and make a little room at the table.

After all, some of the best moments in Gallatin begin with, “Where should we eat?”

The Chocolate Covered Strawberry:

A longtime Gallatin favorite, The Chocolate Covered Strawberry is one of those places made for lingering over lunch with your favorite people. We love the Chopped & Topped Salad, loaded with chicken salad, strawberries and cinnamon-roasted almonds, or the classic chicken salad on a flaky croissant. Save room for carrot cake, sip on their refreshing fruit tea and don’t forget the best little finishing touch — a complimentary chocolate-covered strawberry with every plate. It’s sweet, charming and quintessentially Gallatin.

The Paper Mill:

A fresh addition to the Gallatin Square, The Paper Mill brings its made-from-scratch comfort food and brunch favorites to downtown. We suggest starting with the Biscuit & Jam Board before diving into the Fried Chicken & Waffles with black pepper syrup or the crave-worthy Hot Piggy Benedict. And don’t skip the Parmesan Herb Fries! Come hungry — this newcomer is worth gathering around.

Prince Street Pizza & Pub:

For a laid-back local favorite with plenty of personality, Prince Street Pizza & Pub always delivers. Creative pies are the star, and The Music City Miracle — Nashville hot chicken, pickles and a ranch swirl — is a must-try. We also love the Pretty Fly for a White Pie, with Alfredo, chicken, bacon, tomato and garlic. Start with an order of their loaded Wachos for the table, then settle in and enjoy the funky atmosphere and impressive Tennessee craft beer selection. It’s a Gallatin staple — fun, casual and delicious.

Casa Roja Mexican Grill:

Taco Tuesday just got a little more colorful at Casa Roja Mexican Grill in Downtown Gallatin. Gather your crew and start with their margarita flight — a fun way to sip and sample before diving into tacos. Tuesday’s specials make it the perfect excuse for a midweek meet-up, with both classic and authentic-style tacos on the lineup. Add chips, fresh salsa and queso for the table, and you have our kind of Tuesday: tacos, margaritas and good company in the heart of Gallatin.
