“My father was a wholesale carpet mill representative for 16 years, calling on flooring companies in both the retail and the interior design side of the business. After seeing and sharing in several companies’ success stories, he decided it was time to start his own carpet & flooring company in 1976,” says Pat Petruzzelli, owner of Pat’s Carpet.
His father’s vision was shaped by the desire to offer only the finest flooring products to his customers at discounted prices, with top-notch service and expert sales associates always eager to help.

Although their time working together was short-lived due to his father’s unexpected passing, he stood strong with the values his parents taught him.
“My parents instilled a good work ethic and a desire to succeed in me. My father was very well respected by everyone he met, whether it was in his work environment, church, or his social circles. This was easily recognizable as a kid, and even more apparent as a young adult, which I experienced firsthand by the overwhelming moral support I received in my early days of running the company,” he recalls.
Pat’s Carpet offers all types of flooring products, including residential & commercial carpet, custom area rugs, hardwood, waterproof luxury vinyl plank, and luxury vinyl tile (LVP/LVT), laminate, and tile. In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, Pat reflects with gratitude as he passes the torch to his daughter, keeping the business in the family.
“My daughter, Amber, once a golf professional and former coach at Canyon High School and Rosary Catholic High School, is now in charge of every facet of the business,” he says proudly.
“Her knowledge of the ‘behind the scenes’ operational issues is dialed in, and her product knowledge is unsurpassed. She’s a great leader and very well respected by her co-workers, the suppliers we deal with, and, most importantly, by our customers.”
Under her leadership, the business continues to grow and evolve, securing Pat’s Carpet’s place as a valued cornerstone of the community for generations to come.
“We plan on continuing to offer the best flooring options for our customers at discount prices, backed by a ‘full retail price’ level of service. Times change, but ultimately, the relationships we’ve continued to develop with our customer base have remained strong because we care about them.
