Texas A&M’s Real Estate Research Center reports that new DFW home construction hammered other U.S. markets in 2023, and the trend is expected to continue.

The inventory of available Texas homes increased 15% in the last year, giving buyers more options.
“Higher interest rates slowed things down in 2023, and as a result we are now seeing home sales prices normalize. Add new inventory to that, and what’s great for 2024 is that buyers now have more options,” Troy says.
