Start the new year off right, taking care of your whole body with Well Health. Beyond a classic pop and go chiropractic office, you will find that Dr. Mike Shaub and his team are passionate about guiding patients through nutrition, attention to your nervous system and full body alignment.

The Well Health and Chiropractic franchise was created by Dr. Shaub’s friend and colleague Dr. Ben Follas in 2016, however, he has been a fixture in Middle Tennessee since 2010 when he opened his first private practice in Hermitage 13 years ago. Since then he has opened clinics in Cookeville and now Lebanon.

“I learned how food is medicine and how the art and science of chiropractic has the ability to change and save lives at Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2009,” Dr. Shaub explained, “I always say I didn’t find chiropractic, it found me, with all the glory and thanks to my savior Jesus Christ for all He is doing and yet to do in my life and this community.”

The Well offices offer full spine and extremity adjusting, combined with corrective care, with the goal of leading to maintenance care throughout a patient’s lifetime.

“We have a saying in my offices that we adjust womb to tomb, because anyone and everyone can benefit from chiropractic, “ he says, “We all have nervous systems and you need to keep it healthy for the rest of your life. Contrary to most beliefs, we are nervous system doctors and not bone doctors and though we look at bones through high frequency digital x-rays and specialize in moving bones back into alignment, we do so to keep pressure off the nerves. Since the nerves are information highways from the brain to the organs, cells, and tissues, that highway stays clear of traffic jams, aka pinched nerves, then the patient gets well!”

Dr. Shaub says supporting proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices for patients is also paramount in their care, hosting classes in house and online on topics like how to reverse diabetes, heart disease, and detoxing, just to name a few.

“Our nutritional background also allows us to provide top shelf supplementation through Designs for Health products, using tools like Zyto scans for testing for insufficiencies and deficiencies to help support the body’s own ability to heal,” he explained.

“My focus has been and always will be the health of my community, and in order to help people reach their God-given potential, they must know the truth about how their bodies were designed to work,” he says, “Now that I have five other chiropractors on my team and am part of a network of like-minded chiropractors, I get to coach and mentor them to also lead their families, teams, and communities with the same servant mentality I’ve been using for all these years; if we are just great chiropractors and not great fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, then we’ve missed the mark.”

Dr. Shaub says his wife is the real CEO, and credits his teams with Executive Manager Jeremy Mason at the helm for his ability to continue to expand his practice, a legacy he is proud to leave to his five daughters someday.
