Get Away to the Country

Relax and recharge in cozy rustic elegance

Looking for a place to get away from reality, enjoy nature, and feel enveloped in a cozy and luxurious rustic atmosphere? Then look no further than The Cabins at Center Hill Lake in Middle Tennessee. Although located only an hour and 15 minutes away from Nashville, you’ll feel like you’re in a totally different world.

“It’s this really hidden angelic corner of the world and when you get here, you don’t want to go anywhere else,” says Jaime Wolanski, who bought the cabins with her husband, Geoff, in October of 2019. “You’ll just want to sit back, read a book and drink some tea.”

Of course, there are plenty of things to do if relaxation isn’t your thing. Take a 10-minute drive to the lake and rent a pontoon boat or put your own boat in the water. Drive 10 minutes in the other direction and go for a hike at the magnificent Burgess Falls. And don’t worry, internet access and cable television are available for those who cannot totally disconnect.

Year round, guests can take their pick of a main cabin, a guest cabin, and/or the equally amazing and unique tree house. The main cabin, which Jaime calls the heart of the property, features an upscale country kitchen and sitting area with a huge fireplace; the hearth is just incredible. The master bedroom and a bathroom is located on the first floor, and two more bedrooms – one with a queen bed and another with built-in cedar bunk beds, are upstairs, along with another bathroom.

“The back porch is one of my favorite spots,” says Jaime. “There’s this huge old porch swing bed that is amazing for taking naps on whether it’s winter or summer. And it’s just so cozy and full of pillows.” The front porch is lovely, and the back deck has a hot tub which is perfect year round.

“The guest cabin is also super sweet with a loft bedroom with a queen and a twin bed. Downstairs is the kitchen, bathroom and living room. My favorite part about the guest cabin is the outdoor shower off the back porch. Plus, it has a great front porch too.”

And let’s not forget the fabulous tree house with its tin roof and rustic lumber. Consisting of a bedroom with a queen bed and luxurious bathroom, it’s surrounded by windows and hangs over a ledge overlooking Center Hill Lake.

“It’s historically curated with really pretty antiques mixed with luxury linens on the bed and chairs with a remarkable view during all four seasons,” says Jaime. “It’s really special.”

There is also a large fire pit area out back that looks over the cliff and down to Center Hill Lake. What a stunning view!

For guests who would like to enjoy fresh eggs for breakfast, there’s plenty to be found at the on-site chicken coop. Next year there’ll be gardens where guests can pick their own fresh fruits and vegetables. Talk about farm to table!

Also, pet and play with the four pygmy goats nearby, or feel free to bring your own furry friend. The cabins are dog-friendly.

Guests can rent one cabin or all three. This way, even if your vacation includes 14 people, everyone can have their own private space. Most people stay two to three nights, but others stay much longer or some for just one night. In total, the property consists of 50 acres of peace and serenity. Jaime’s brother, Jason Steger, lives on site and takes care of everything.
