Get Your Greek on with Taziki's

Food and Fun with a Mediterranean Flair

Picture a place in the City by the Lake that serves fresh, healthy food in a comfortable decor reminiscent of Greece. A community place, where you can meet up with friends and family, have a delicious meal and celebrate the joys of life.

Since April 2019, that place has been Taziki’s Mediterranean Café.

Offering a blend of classic Mediterranean dishes and unique signature items, Taziki’s has rapidly become one of Hendersonville’s most popular eateries. From quick salads and gyros at lunch to sumptuous grilled feasts at dinner, Taziki’s is the place to go for the best in food, drink and fellowship.

“We pride ourselves on offering great food that the entire family can enjoy,” says Travis Laha, manager of Taziki’s in Hendersonville. “We source our produce locally from cultivate farms in Nashville every day so that our customers can enjoy the freshest, healthiest fruits and vegetables.”

Taziki’s was founded 20 years ago by restauranteurs Keith and Amy Richards. They came up with the fast-casual concept shortly after returning from a vacation in Greece in 1997. While there, they fell in love with the Mediterranean culture of warmth and connection, as well as the fresh, healthy Greek cuisine. They decided to replicate that concept in the United States, and they opened their first Taziki’s in Birmingham in 1998.

Today, Taziki’s has more than 90 locations across the country. The Mediterranean influence is present in each location in both the food and the hospitality. In addition, every Taziki’s restaurant is decorated in a stylish fashion, featuring photographs and artwork taken during the Richards’ Greek adventures. Along with the wall decorations, the restaurants also have carefully designed table layouts that encourage sharing among friends and family.

While the restaurant offers a broad menu of popular items, the hands-down Hendersonville favorite is the Taziki’s Feast. This hearty entree features a small Greek salad as well as the diner’s choice of protein and side items. Other popular items include flavorful quinoa bowls, handcrafted kebabs and Taziki’s signature Caesar salad.

Along with its rich cuisine, Taziki’s also offers a wide selection of wines and craft beers that are sure to complement any meal. The combination of great food and smooth libations can help turn an ordinary dining occasion into something special.

Given the attention to detail that accompanies every meal at Taziki’s, one might think that the time between ordering and dining would be lengthy. However, nothing is further from the truth.

“Our typical meal prep time—the time from leaving the register to sitting and dining—is about five minutes,” Travis says. “The only time that it takes any longer is for entrees that include salmon. Even then, the wait time is less than 12 minutes.”

Along with its commitment to outstanding food, drink and service, Taziki’s is also committed to community involvement. Although the restaurant supports many local causes, it is particularly devoted to the Hope Project.

“The Hope Project teaches special needs children how to grow the herbs that we use in the restaurant,” Travis says. “After harvest, we teach the children how to sell their produce back to us. This process teaches basic business and life skills, and it lets them become a part of something bigger.”

Along with its traditional dine-in and carry-out options, Taziki’s also offers a catering service that is perfect for any special occasion. From standard drop-off meal delivery to full-service, on-site catering, Taziki’s can spice up any event with the flavors and aromas of Greece.

Day in and day out, Taziki’s is committed to living up to its mission statement to “create an environment that combines extraordinary food with meaningful human connection.”
